Learning in our school has always been easy going. We have a lot of different ways to learn new things, and we love to improve and be different from the other ones.
So, one new thing that we have been doing back these years (and we continue doing) is to create a relation between our school and the town. It always has been a great source of learning, and we think that it can be really useful for our students.
Some of the activities that we do are; visiting the town hall, going to the market and buying some fruit and vegetables, exploring our nature... (scrolling down the page you will find some of these activities).
A DAY IN THE MARKET
The last December, the students of year 3 went to the market to buy some fruit and vegetables. First of all, when they arrived, a woman explained to them how the market works and what different types of food they sell. It was really interesting to see how the students were amazed to know that sort of thing.
After ending the explanation, the students could choose one piece of fruit or vegetable to buy and eat for lunch or breakfast. Some of them choose bananas, other apples, others some carrots...
When that day finished, the teachers had a meeting to talk about how did the day go, and the conclusions were amazing. All the teachers said that that experience was really good for students because they learn different things more practically.
